Hi folks,
I recently read about something "ridiculous" in the newspaper. There are 2 battling alliances trying to influence people to boycott certain stores.
Christian Conservatives and the religious right want people to boycott all stores that use the term "holiday" instead of "Christmas" in their displays and ads. They feel that the term "holiday" is "anti-Christian" and "un-American".
Groups that advocate tolerance, diversity, multi-culturalism want people to boycott all stores that use the term "Christmas" instead of "holiday" in their displays and ads. They feel that the term "Christmas" offends and alienates all people who aren't Christians. Stores should accept the fact that there are numerous different religions in America.
I agree with the second group.
What do you think?
