Hi folks,
Bill O'Reilly is a f**king asshole!!!
He is going to be sucking Satan's dick when he dies.
In a 7/26/09 article, he writes, "[Obama] is not reforming. He's re-inventing." And then, he criticizes him for it.
Pres. Obama SHOULD be re-inventing!!!
That is what you are supposed to do when (a) the country just suffered a HUGE financial collapse and (b) there are so many problems in a country that need to be fixed.
He is criticizing Obama for doing his job.
I don't understand how people can listen to that moron (Bill O'Reilly).

Hi folks,
On 7/27/09, the Staten Island Advance's own editors wrote a great article. In it, they write, "No, the current system won't hold up and more Americans will become casualties of it as it collapses. We've seen that already. Reasonable people will agree that is necessary, and, while it may be politically avoidable - and politically advantageous - for for the time being, it's foolhardy to think reform can be put off indefinitely. But the question becomes what the long-term cost of this massive overhaul of the nation's healthcare system will be, what the unintended consequences will be and whether, in the long run, Americans will be better off."
I agree.
The Staten Island Advance is a "centrist" (middle of the road) newspaper. They are not on the right or the left. They are fair. In fact, they are one of the few newspapers left in America that can still make that claim.

Hi folks,
In a 8/1/09 letter, Al Holtje writes, "[Obama's] ultimate goal seems to be the reorientation of the American government. To achieve this change in ideology, power and the role of government is more important to him than precisely how it is accomplished. He continues to cultivate a public image of being cool, accomplished, and deliberate. But in reality, he is cerebral to a fault. Who knew he'd be in a panic to remake 1/6 of the economy in less than nine months...? Why?"
He then goes on to slam the pharmaceutical industry.
I don't quite understand where Mr. Holtje is going with this letter. He is "all over ther place". On the one hand, he recognizes the need for healthcare reform, and he slams the pharmaceutical industry. Then, he criticizes Obama for trying to fix it. Go figure.
By the way, you can say the same thing about me ("cerebral to a fault"). I guess that's one of the reasons why I like Obama so much. We are "two of a kind".

Hi folks, On 8/2/09, the "Tea Party" protest rally was held at the Conference House. An article about it appeared in the Staten Island Advance on 8/3/09. They write, "Speakers...were conservative bloggers, former lawmakers, local citizens, and right-wing activists. Their comments about taxation, the founding fathers, proposed healthcare legislation, God, the Constitution, and their frequent, deep-throated 'boos' for Pres. Obama..." It figures they would bring up God. Why am I not suprised? Dr. Betsy McCaughey, a vocal critic of discussions under way in Washington to rethink the healthcare system, spoke at the rally. She should be ashamed of herself. She is violating her "oath" (to "do no harm"). She is a medical doctor, and she wants to deny healthcare to people. She is also forcing me to be on welfare for the rest of my life. I don't understand. She's a doctor???!!! Lorraine Scanni, a rally co-organizer, dubbed the healthcare discussion "Obamacare", and she accused local Republican lawmakers of complacency. She's another f**king asshole. Rally organizer Frank Santarpia said, "Something must be done. We've been hoping that our congressman would wake up...and defend the constitution of the USA. Instead, through his votes, we, his constituents are less and less free every day, while our government grows larger and larger, loots our life savings, bankrupts the treasury, and spews fantastic lies about 'hope' and 'change'". Is this guy f**king kidding me???!!! If he wanted to defend the constitution, he would want to provide every American with universal healthcare. And he has the balls to talk about being "less free" !!! What about me? People like him are holding a gun to my head and forcing me, against my will, to be on welfare for the rest of my life. What about my "freedom"? He's a f**king asshole!!! These people are f**king retards. Obviously, they are part of the "Ayatollah wing" of the Republican party. Augie

Hi folks,
In a 8/5/09 article by Jennifer Loven, "Obama told the senators that passing health reform legislation would be among the most important things they would ever do in the Senate..."
Sen Max Baucus (D-Mont.) said, "The American people do not like partisanship. But the American people also don't like groups of people trying to kill something that should be done..."
I agree. This is a historic moment in America's history.

Hi folks,
In a 8/6/09 article by Kathleen Sebelius, she writes, "When my 2 sons graduated from college, I had mixed feelings. I was incredibly proud of their accomplishments, but I dreaded the fact that they would lose their health insurance..."
That is precisely what happened to me. I'm a college graduate. My illness forced me to drop out of graduate school. When I did that, I lost my health insurance.
She continues, "Nor should we let ourselves be distracted by the attacks that try to use the complexity of health reform to freeze Americans in inaction. We've learned over the past 20 years that 'socialized medicine' and 'government-run healthcare' are code words for 'don't change anything'".
Bravo!!! Thank you Kathleen.

Hi folks,
On 8/8/09, Richard Currie wrote a letter, "It is really a moral outrage that the richest country in the world refuses to adopt a health insurance system that affords all its citizens decent healthcare. Yet, Americans find themselves held hostage by insurance companies who routinely charge expensive premiums and just as routinely deny claims when really needed. What is worse is the chorus of defenders who blame the insured for the problem. It's time for US citizens to press for a health insurance system that protects all Americans."
Thank you, Richard.

Hi folks,
On 8/8/09, Louise Santoro wrote a letter, "No uninsured American is denied emergency medical care. Americans are not flocking to Cuba, or any other country's government-sponsered healthcare program, to get better or more timely care. Don't accept a huge Washington power grab under false pretenses."
Louise has exposed herself for the f**king idiot ("dumb f**king c*nt") that she is.
She expects uninsured people to go to the emergency room every time they need medical care (even for non-emergencies)? Is she kidding me???!!!
This is stupid thinking for several reasons:
1)Emergency room (ER) doctors don't know you. You will see a different doctor every time you go. They don't know your history.
2)It is MUCH more expensive to treat someone in an emergency room than at a family doctor's office. It's not cost effective to do that. It costs the taxpayers even MORE money. It's cheaper to provide that person with a family doctor.
3)In my case, I seriously doubt if an ER doctor would write a prescription for me for a 6-month supply of antibiotics (something that my doctors did for me routinely for many years). It's hard enough trying to get a family doctor to do that (and even that takes some coaxing).
4)That's not practicing "preventive care".
Could people actually be this f**king dumb? People should think before they write letters to newspapers.

Hi folks,
On 8/8/09, Hasan Lateef wrote a letter, "Hate radio is one of the main driving forces of vicious acts upon innocent people in America. There are the Rush Limbaughs, Sean Hannitys, and others of their ilk, who appeal to the feeble-minded among us. They realize that there is a market for racism and hate in America, and they exploit it. There are millions of people in America with intelligence deficits, who listen to this drivel every day, and it becomes their mantra."
I agree. Hate radio (and the Rush Limbaughs of the world) is probably the main reason why we are having such a difficult time trying to get healthcare reform passed in America. They are spreading vicious lies and mis-information. The "feeble-minded" among us are listening to this shit. They are the ones making so much noise at these town hall meetings and drowning out reason.
